This site is an overview of what transpired in the Arkansas program during the 2006 season and 2007.
This forum contains factual information for those who actually care about the truth.
Many have questioned the validity of the information just for the mere fact that no one was willing to sign their name to it. If you choose not to believe this information just because there is no name attached, then you are not interested in the truth. All facts are supported and well documented.
There have been many attempts to discredit the information. It is not possible, because it is all truthful. If there are factual errors, they are not intentional. Do not discredit the entire body of work due to one tiny unintentional error, if there are in fact any.
For the record, and in spite of the statements and implications made by staff members and individuals such as Houston Nutt and Jimmy Sexton, no one from the Springdale families or those close to them have done anything to discredit or attack the individuals in the Arkansas football program or their families. They have never attacked the coaches personal life or even addressed it. They haven't flown banners or participated in demonstrations or initiated or signed petitions. They have never called or corresponded with any administrators or players at other institutions.
They have not contacted national reporters. And most who have contacted them are not interested after they tell them that they will not speak "on the record." And to the ones who still persisted, they have remained positive about the boy's futures and spoke very little of their experience at Arkansas. For the time being, they have all remained quiet about their time at Arkansas. To say anything would be to open themselves to further attacks.
However, there will come a time when they will have the opportunity to tell the truth in spite of the attempts by so many to conceal it.
To this day, over a year later, no one from the university administration, coaching staff, or Board of Trustees has ever contacted any of the players or families from Springdale to inquire about their version of what actually transpired during their time at Arkansas. Or to apologize for what the program allowed to happen. Or to even check on their well-being. Conversely, it seems that the program and people close to the program have continued to allow the personal attacks on their reputations and character to continue uncensored.
Many wonder why a University, an institution of higher learning, would allow a conspiracy of deceit to transpire among its staff members and administrators. That is a question many have asked a million times over the last year. It is a question many would love to ask the administration.
However, it is obvious that the University administration chose the direction they were going to take. They would lie, distribute misinformation and cover up to protect the "image" of their university.
Truth is, they have caused more damage by not admitting the truth and by failing to take a stand to act with honor and integrity.
The University chose to protect the interest of a football coach and his staff rather than protect the well-being and futures of the young men whom they have a responsibility and a duty to protect. They chose to act in a manner that was irresponsible, unethical, and at times, illegal.
No matter how quiet the players and parents remain or how little they say or do to defend themselves, there are those who will continue to attack the players, their family, their friends and their community.
If the University, as a whole, would begin to acknowledge the truth and make a commitment to our fans, players and our institution that these things will never transpire again in our university and if the university would honor their commitment to "truth and integrity," the Razorback nation could begin to heal. But as long as we continue to lie and cover up the transgressions of our past, we will continue to be divided and in conflict. And worse, we will continue to make the same mistakes in the future.

THE MIKE IRWIN SAGA:
Mike Irwin has been a good friend over the last year and a half. But his pursuit of the truth and his desire to do the right thing have hurt him both personally and professionally.
** "THE FEAR OF RETALIATION..."
It is simply unbelievable that a university will go to such lengths to silence a student who wants nothing more than "the truth." And this is just one small example....

Remember, our history is what brought us where we are today......
